Anti villain
This is my entry for the GMTK game jam 2023. It's definitely not worthy of any prize. I am a programmer, with some minimal background in game development. I've worked in teams before, but never managed to really make progress on my own. I committed to submitting the best I can do, and this is the result. It doesn't look nice, it's not done, but it works. And you got to start somewhere.
The game is about a theatrical play. You play as both the hero and the villain, and work towards a final fight between the 2. You'll have to avoid getting the hero/villain killed by guards and monsters. After beating a level once, it restarts. But now the hero and villain changed roles. The hero has become evil, and the villain changed their ways.
As the developer I must say, puzzles are hard. I see a lot of potential, but I'm missing the few mechanics required to make it work. I'm sure I can make it work with some effort, although I'll have to see if that will happen in the future.
